Profile
Dagmar Jäger [Dr.-Ing.] is an architect, author and teacher, living and working in Berlin and Tallinn. Since 1998, she has been a research associate, guest critic and visiting professor at various European universities. From 2013 to 2017, she has been working at Tallinn University of Technology to develop and direct the international Masters Programme of European Architecture. 

Research by Design
The focus of her research-oriented design practice is to develop sustainable concepts of transformation for young & 'difficult' heritage with social and political relevance, implementing strategies of re-use, re-activation and re-interpretation within dialogue-oriented, academic and participatory formats in cooperation with her partner, universities or interdisciplinary networks. Her theoretical research about design focuses interdisciplinary design methodologies and empirical design process analyses. Outcomes and results of these cooperative activities include architectural concepts, design and urban projects, texts, book designs, photography, exhibitions, conferences, study programs and public knowledge platforms in multidisciplinary and dialogical contexts.

Since 1994, she has conducted experimental projects together with her partner Christian Pieper in their network studio jp3 (Berlin), creating pioneer projects like Reiseuni (2008), Stapelvilla (2004), Industriepromenade (1996) or Hybridhaus (1994) and initiated scientific and artistic lecture platforms like European Architecture Dialogue (2010), Schaffensprozesse (2007-09), Forschungskolloqium (2004-07) or Bauwelten (1990).

# PORTFOLIO OF PROJECTS
The following projects represent selected hybrid concepts & work results within four different fields of heritage research & practice since 1992: realized (built) projects as well as teaching projects within long-term research activities, initiated in order to develop new horizons for built heritage, integrating exhibitions, public discourses & publication formats for strengthening further transformation processes, opening multi-perspective thinking about possibilities; all projects are developed in dialogue and in exchange with local policy-makers, property owners, activists and other local stakeholders, realized in cooperation with universities or as part of integrated teaching projects.

- Hybridhouse Hameln: Design and realization of Residential Building, incl. Furniture & Garden: 1992-1994
The building is designed as a low-tech, disabled-friendly and low-energy house as inner urban densification within a transformed urban 19th century block in Hameln, seven spaces (3 main houses) organized around a snail-form ramp: the north wing in timber frame with cellulose insulation - the southern part in massive construction with 49er lightweight vertically perforated bricks and brick element ceiling - the low-pitched roofs as green roofs that shed the roof to the street with bricks. Profile
Dagmar Jäger [Dr.-Ing.] is an architect, author and teacher, living and working in Berlin and Tallinn. Since 1998, she has been a research associate, guest critic and visiting professor at various European universities. From 2013 to 2017, she has been working at Tallinn University of Technology to develop and direct the international Masters Programme of European Architecture.

Research by Design
The focus of her research-oriented design practice is to develop sustainable concepts of transformation for young & 'difficult' heritage with social and political relevance, implementing strategies of re-use, re-activation and re-interpretation within dialogue-oriented, academic and participatory formats in cooperation with her partner, universities or interdisciplinary networks. Her theoretical research about design focuses interdisciplinary design methodologies and empirical design process analyses. Outcomes and results of these cooperative activities include architectural concepts, design and urban projects, texts, book designs, photography, exhibitions, conferences, study programs and public knowledge platforms in multidisciplinary and dialogical contexts.

Since 1994, she has conducted experimental projects together with her partner Christian Pieper in their network studio jp3 (Berlin), creating pioneer projects like Reiseuni (2008), Stapelvilla (2004), Industriepromenade (1996) or Hybridhaus (1994) and initiated scientific and artistic lecture platforms like European Architecture Dialogue (2010), Schaffensprozesse (2007-09), Forschungskolloqium (2004-07) or Bauwelten (1990).

The following projects represent selected hybrid concepts & work results within four different fields of heritage research & practice since 1992: realized (built) projects as well as teaching projects within long-term research activities, initiated in order to develop new horizons for built heritage, integrating exhibitions, public discourses & publication formats for strengthening further transformation processes, opening multi-perspective thinking about possibilities; all projects are developed in dialogue and in exchange with local policy-makers, property owners, activists and other local stakeholders, realized in cooperation with universities or as part of integrated teaching projects.

- Hybridhouse Hameln: Design and realization of Residential Building, incl. Furniture & Garden: 1992-1994
The building is designed as a low-tech, disabled-friendly and low-energy house as inner urban densification within a transformed urban 19th century block in Hameln, seven spaces (3 main houses) organized around a snail-form ramp: the north wing in timber frame with cellulose insulation - the southern part in massive construction with 49er lightweight vertically perforated bricks and brick element ceiling - the low-pitched roofs as green roofs that shed the roof to the street with bricks.
