Loometöö
Research work:
I did ethnographic fieldwork in Rashidpur village in Munshiganj, Bangladesh from January to December, 2017 for my PhD program. I have already published a paper based on my fieldwork and writing other papers to accomplish an article based PhD.
I worked as a Senior Researcher in the project “Urbanization-Migration Nexus” from June, 2014 to March, 2015 initiated by LSE (London School of Economics) and sponsored by DFID (Department for International Development). The project explored how investment in urban construction and its concurrent demand for labour give rise to new and varied temporal forms of rural-urban migration. My responsibility was to supervise Research Associates and Research Assistants and write reports and coordinate with the Country Director, Bangladesh.
I presented papers in the following international conferences:
1. I presented a paper at SANT & FAS conference entitled "Vulnerabilities" organized by Uppsala University held from April 19-21, 2018.
2. I present a paper at ICSS XIV, 14th International Conference on Social Sciences held in Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany from March 2-3, 2018. My paper has been published in conference proceedings as well as in the European Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (EJIS) in Vol 10, NO 1 (2018) PP 117-130.
3. I was present at the international conference “Why the World Needs Anthropologists?” organized by University of Tartu from November 04-05, 2016.
4. Biennial Conference of the Finnish Anthropological Society entitled "Entangled Mobilities" organized by University of Yväskylä, Finland from 22th-23th of May, 2017.
5. Third ISA Forum of Sociology entitled “The Future We Want: Global Sociology and Struggles for a Better World.” organized by University of Vienna from July 10-14, 2016.
6. “South Asia in Transformation: World of Slums, Global Power Houses or Utopia?” organized by SASNET, Lund University, Sweden from 20 March-22 March, 2015.
