I am a member of the Research Group "Laboratory of Intercultural Studies" since 2007 (Spain, id: SEJ-123) as well of The Association SLAVIA (Association for Cultural Relations with Slavic Countries), Granada.

I participated in several European research projects and some national and regional projects. Below I list the most important of them:
2010-2011 – “EUROMEDINCULTURE(S) Citizenship 2010”, financed by the Program Europe for Citizens (2007-13). Made up of cultural institutions, NGOs, public authorities, universities and think tanks from Europe and the Mediterranean, EUROMEDINCULTURE(s) is meant to be a real platform of reflexion, exchanges and common actions around culture and the arts in the Euro-mediterranean region. 28 Members and Observers form part of this project.
2008-2010 – “Observatory of the Mass Media and Immigration in Andalusia”: OMECIA. The aim of this project is to detect the diferent forms of representation of the cultural, ethnic, religious and linguistic diversity in the Andalusian press, and to propose alternative forms of representation of this. OMECIA is financed by the Regional Governement of Andalusia.
2007-2010 – “Multiculturality and Integration of Immigrants in the Primary School of Andalusia”, supported by the Andalusian Government: Program for Excellence Research Projects. Work carried out in three provinces of Andalusia and in many schools. The ethnographic study has been combined with intercultural mediation tasks and teacher support.
2007-2008 – “Indexing of documentation on migrations existing in Spain”, supported by Ministry of Labour and Immigration. Lead Institution: Colectivo IOE (http://www.colectivoioe.org/) The main aim of this project was elaborate a thesaurus about migrations for digital libraries, etc.
2006-2008 – “Medi-Media: Cooperation Programme for Intercultural Mediators and Mediterranean Mass Media”, financed by the European Commission. The aim of MEDI-MEDIA was to favor inter-cultural dialogue by fostering the relations between intercultural mediators and the mass media. 5 Partners from 4 countries participated in this project.
2006-2008 – “Identity is Future: the Mediterranean Intangible Space: MEDINS”, financed by the EU Program INTERREG III "Atlantic Space". The project contributes to the safeguard and enhancement of the Euro Mediterranean Intangible Cultural Heritage, avoiding therefore the risk of its extinction. 22 partners from 10 countries took part in this project.
I got 'Doctor Europeus' in 2007 (cum laude). Previously, I graduated in Russian Filology with honors.
I have been Visiting academic at the University of Tartu (Estonia, 07/09/2006 to 07/12/2006, Supervisor: Marina Grishakova) and the University of Lancaster (GB, 01/15/2010 to 02/12/2010, Supervisor: Elena Semino).
My staying at the Institute of Cultural Research and Fine Arts of the University of Tartu was designed to enforce the methodological part of my doctoral thesis, especially in the use of the comparative method and the theory of topics and motifs in literary fiction research. I took my time to perform an in depth reading of my thesis under the supervision of Dr. Marina Grishakova.
The purpose of my stay at the University of Lancaster was the stepping into the domain of critical discourse analysis. The Department of Linguistics and English Language specializes in this methodological approach. During my stay in Lancaster I have been under the supervising of Elena Semino (Professor of Linguistics and Verbal Art), who has supervised my readings and answered to all my questions about the discourse analysis. I also attended the following MA courses: Critical Discourse Analysis, by Ruth Wodak, Gender and Language, by Jane Sunderland, Research Issues in Applied Linguistics (Using Language Corpora, by Andrew Hardie), and Workshop of Argumentation Theory, by Paul Chilton.
