Niwton Gabriel Feliciani Dos Santos
Niwton Gabriel Feliciani dos Santos was born in Rosário do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 1995. He received the B.S. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Pampa, Alegrete, Brazil, in 2018, and both the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Santa Maria, Brazil, in 2020 and 2024, respectively. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Power Electronics Group of TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology. His research interests include active and nonactive power processing, dc–dc conversion systems, partial power converters, battery chargers for electric vehicles, and photovoltaic systems. Dr. dos Santos is a member of the Brazilian Society of Power Electronics (SOBRAEP), IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS), IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), and IEEE Young Professionals. He has been serving in leadership roles within the IEEE since January 2025. He is currently serving as a volunteer on the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Young Professionals Activity Committee (YP-AC) and as Vice Chair of the IEEE Estonia Section Young Professionals Affinity Group (YP-AG). He has received a Travel Grant to attend the 2nd IEEE IES SYP Congress and the prestigious IES-SYPA Award to attend IECON 2025.
