My research interests lie broadly in the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Control, and Optimization. I am particularly interested in such robotics applications, where standalone classical control and motion planning methods cannot generally find elegant solutions. The recent algorithmic and computational advances in AI promise to solve complex problems efficiently and quickly, creating many new ways to solve complex problems, like using Reinforcement Learning (RL) in learning to fly Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Still, At the same time, it gives rise to fundamental research challenges like real-time safe Learning and control and data-intensive computation. My long-term goal is to research the ties between AI, control, and optimization methods to make a system more robust and autonomous.
