Sagar Arepally
Dr. Sagar Arepally obtained his Master's degree in Chemistry from Osmania University, India, in 2009. He began his academic career as a lecturer, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry courses from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, he joined the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad), where he carried out doctoral research in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and received his Ph.D. in 2019. Following his Ph.D., Dr. Arepally worked briefly in the API research and development sector before undertaking postdoctoral research at Pusan National University, South Korea, where he further developed his expertise in organic synthesis. He subsequently joined Prof. Thomas Wirth's group at Cardiff University, UK, as a Research Associate, conducting research in flow electrochemistry, electroorganic synthesis, and sustainable synthetic methodologies. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia, supported by the ETAG Seal of Excellence Postdoctoral Fellowship. His current research focuses on electrochemical generation and control of reactive intermediates, hypervalent iodine chemistry, flow electrochemistry, and the development of sustainable synthetic methodologies.
