I am currently a doctoral student within the School of digital technologies at Tallinn university. The focus of my research is to understand the role of trust in user engagement.
Specifically, through my research, my main goal is to develop evaluation frameworks in the form of empirical models or scales which can be used to monitor trust levels of users during their interactions with a technological artifact. This work stems from the motivation that despite repeated trust breaches in the online environment, there has been little change in the behavior of people.
I have a diverse background with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Biotechnology from India, followed by a Master’s degree in Information systems from Liverpool John Moores University, England. My research interests are in human computer interaction, user engagement, socio-technical systems and interaction design.
Since the commencement of my studies, I have attended following training, events and workshops:
1.) World Usability Day, Tallinn University, November 2015, Tallinn, Estonia
2.) Designing Human Technologies 4.0 (organised by Roskilde university), 23-25 May 2016, Søminestationen, Denmark
3.) Research methods in HCI summer school (attending from July 11-15 2016)
