Xin Tang
I am working as Professor of Educational Psychology at the Tallinn University, while holding a joint-position at the University of Helsinki. My research aims to understand and facilitate positive growth of youth in learning and social-emotional development. Thus, my research topics include motivation and engagement, academic wellbeing, social-emotional development, and teaching practices. As the lead author, my work has been published in many leading journals, such as Learning and Instruction, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Learning and Individual Differences, Journal of Youth and Adolescence, Teaching and Teacher Education, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. As PI/co-PI and core member, I have led/participated in various academic projects, with the total amount of funding about 1 million euros. Currently, I am the Chief-Editor of a new Elsevier journal: Applied Studies in Innovative Learning and Teaching. Also, I am sitting on the editorial board of the Learning and Instruction (SSCI-Q1), Journal of Youth and Adolescence (SSCI-Q1), Learning and Individual Differences (SSCI-Q1), Educational Psychology (SSCI-Q1), Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology (SSCI-Q2), and Frontiers in Psychology (SSCI-Q2). I have co-edited Secial Issues at Learning and Individual Differences (SSCI-Q1) on social-emotional skills, Applied Psychology: Health and Wellbeing (SSCI-Q1) on positive youth development, Frontiers in Psychology (SSCI-Q2) on grit.
