Zakaria Tavberidze
Zakaria Tavberidze is a doctoral student and Junior Research Fellow in Sustainable Transition Studies at the Institute of Social Science at the University of Tartu. His academic interests focus on social change at a systemic level. He has more than 10 years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research on sustainable development and has worked with local and international NGOs in Georgia. He has also taught sociology at Ilia State University and the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. Zakaria has published research on community resilience and development, and his current work focuses on Deep Transition Theory, particularly the mechanisms that block sustainable social change.
