Ayman Aljarbouh has involved, during his doctoral program, in the European project ITEA2-MODRIO (Model Driven Physical Systems Operation) carried out by 38 academic and industrial partners from Belguim, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, and Sweden https://itea3.org/project/modrio.html (Sep 2012 - May 2016). The objective of this project was to extend modelling and simulation tools based on open standards from system design to system operation. The Post-doctoral Fellow was also -during his doctoral program- involved in the Sys2soft research project (Physics Aware Software), where the aim of this project was focused mainly on developing methods and tools supporting the design of embedded software interacting with a complex physical environment. The project advocates a methodology where both physics and software are co-modeled and co-simulated early in the design process and embedded code is generated automatically from the joint physics and software models..

Ayman Aljarbouh is currently a Ph.D. researcher in Computer Science and Software Engineering, doctoral program at MATISSE doctoral school, University of Rennes 1, FRANCE. He is achieving his reserach at HYCOMES team (Hybrid Modeling and Contract-Based Design for Multi physics Embedded Systems) in INRIA research centre (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique - National Institut for Research in Computer Science and Automation). His is carrying his doctoral research under the supervision of Professor Benoit CAILLAUD (HDR), the head of HYCOMES team. The PhD program of Ayman Aljarbouh is funded by the European project ITEA2-MODRIO (Model Driven Physical Systems Operation), and the ARED grant of the Brittany Regional Council. The title of his PhD thesis is: “Accelerated Simulation of Hybrid Systems: Languages and Compilation”. His research activities are Centered on formal methods in embedded system design, with a particular focus on modeling, simulation, and verification of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Hybrid Dynamic Systems (HDS), as well as on optimal and robust control for complex dynamic systems. During his doctoral research, Ayman Aljarbouh has published 6 scientific papers (5 conference papers and 1 journal paper). His doctoral research work has made a significant contribution to ITEA2-MODRIO, where he developed new concepts and techniques for rigorous modeling and simulation of Hybrid Dynamic Systems exhibiting both Chattering and Zeno behaviors. Ayman Aljarbouh is credited also by his contribution to the project Sys2soft research project (Physics Aware Software) focused on developing methods and tools supporting the design of embedded software interacting with a complex physical environment.
