The research based on Trilayer actuators with investigation in the right conducting polymer actuator controlled by one ion actuation properties. PEDOT and PPy been tested and it found with PPy/DBS an actuator who can at higher frequencies up to 0.5 Hz just controlled the size of the actuation over the cations.

University Wollongong in Australia at Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI) did make a cooperation (Gursel Alici and Geoffery Spinks) in help for sputtering and delivering the Pt sputtered PVDF cantilever. The resistivity of the Pt sputtered PVDF is one of the main conditions getting Trilayer actuators with frequencies up to 5 Hz.
