Research experience and participation in the collaborative projects:

- AgedBrainSYSBIO.
Currently I'm enrolled in AgedBrainSYSBIO project. It is a four year collaborative research project funded by the European Commission under the Health Cooperation Programme of the 7th Framework Programme (FP7). We address the basis of brain ageing by studying the pathways involved in this process applying data mining, data integration approaches, and by identifying the interactions through which the ageing phenotype develops in normal and in disease conditions.

-Stem cells differentiation towards neuronal lineages.
I am studying the regulation of early embryo development and model the underlaying regulatory program of the stem cells differentiation towards neuronal lineages and pathways involved. This research is important from the perspective of the emerging field of regenerative medicine and potential to treat severe disorders. Systems biology approach allows to integrate experimental, theoretical, and modelling techniques to study and understand complex biological processes.

- Epigenetic changes and disturbed neural development in a human embryonic stem cell-based model relating to the fetal valproate syndrome.
In 2012 I participated in the collaboration project with the University of Konstanz, and performed statistical data analysis. The aim of the project was to study epigenetic changes and disturbed neural development in a human embryonic stem cell-based model relating to the fetal valproate syndrome.

- Embryonic Stem Cell Database
Adding new data types and developing new web interface for embryonic stem cell database (ESCD).
