In addition to having been a member of many scientific projects I have lead a Humane Slaughter Association-funded project; Transport and slaughter of ostriches, deer and wild boar used for the meat industry in the UK. This was carried through to completion and resulted in a journal article in the UK journal Animal Welfare.
I have refereed papers for the Journal of Dairy Research, the Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Ethics, the British Journal of Nutrition, the Journal of Animal Science,Animal Production Science, Agronomy Research, Annals of Animal Science, and for the Estonian Journal of Agricultural Science. I have reviewed articles in Proceedings of the ISAH.
