Field of research
FIELD OF RESEARCH: 1. Biosciences and Environment; 1.6. Agricultural Sciences; SPECIALITY: Main research interests: The pollination requirements of entomophilous crops, pollination ecology, the foraging behaviour of honey and bumble bees. Pollen and gene flow mediated by bees. Integrated pest management of arable crops, particularly oilseed rape, focussing on the potential of parasitoids, predators and pathogens for biocontrol, the role of semiochemicals in attracting pests and parasitoids to the crop, stimulating feeding and oviposition. The effects of transgenic oilseed rape on pests and beneficial insects.
