Osalemine Hawail toimuval sümpoosiumil IEEE International Syposium on Information Theory
IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory is the main conference in the area of coding and information theory, which is the area of my research and teaching. The conference is organized and sponsored by the Information Theory Society of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). The symposium takes part annually, each time in a different country. Most of the leading researchers in the fields of information theory and coding theory attend this conference every year. It is considered to be a prestigious venue for presenting new results in these research areas. Participation in the conference will help to disseminate our research results, to get exposed to new trends in the area of my research and to establish new connections with the colleagues working in the adjacent fields. It will allow me to get updated about new results, developments and trends in the area of my research and related area. It will also allow me to obtain new ideas for future work. Finally, it can help to initiate new collaborations and projects. Since I am teaching a Master’s level course on Coding Theory in Tartu, attending this conference could also help me in my teaching activities. The knowledge of the new trends and results in the area of coding theory can be disseminated to students in Tartu. I also currently supervise two Master’s students (Ivo Kubjas and Yauhen Yakimenka), both of them working in the areas related to the topics of the conference. Therefore, attending the symposium could help me to generate new ideas and research directions for the student work.
