Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013, Southern Finland – Estonia Sub-programme
The objective of the project are to create readiness to promote waste and sludge prevention, start biogas production and it's use as traffic fuel in six case areas in Southern Finland and Northern Estonia (in Estonia the case areas are Harju County and Lääne-Viru County). At the same time it is creating readiness to solve local waste, energy, economic and environmental problems in a way that gives local businesses and employment new possibilities. Project aims to set layer for self sufficiency in waste treatment and traffic fuel production. The project aims as well to create a network that can effectively promote the objectives during and after the project. By making research based feasible plans for promoting the above mentioned objectives the project wants to give tools to public and private companies, administration, NGOs and research institutes for their work. SEI Tallinn is participating in all 5 WP-s of the project.
