Three year project was dedicated to establish reference testing center for optical parameters of aquatic environment relevant for remote sensing applications. Services have been prepared to support to whole chain of ground measurements starting with instrument development, ensuring quality control and validation satellite products. Prototype for the Multispectral Volume scattering meter (MVSM) was developed and tested. To get the commercially available instrument ready work will need continue specially to improve measurements in the small and large angles and user tailored output of data. Optical laboratory is facilitated and services will be made first accessible for Sentinel 3 validation team members. Specific local algorithms for large Estonian lakes were developed for sissolved organic matter, as this has been the parameter that can not be received from available algorithms. International community through other projects like FP7 WaterS and GLaSS is the end user for these results.
