Projekti eesmärgiks on IKT valdkonna hariduse strateegiline suunamine. Täpsem informatsioon on esitatud inglise keeles.
Based on more than a 20 year history of collaboration on education in the Electrical and Information Engineering (EIE) discipline area through the European Association for Education in Electrical and Information Engineering (EAEEIE), this project will enhance Europe’s ability to educate all learners who wish to engage with higher education in programmes tuned to the global technical challenges we currently face. Firstly widening participation and diversity issues for traditional, non-traditional and lifelong learners, students with disabilities and those who traditionally do not have conventional higher education available to them. The key outcome will be a better understanding of how to market to and support these students. Secondly how EIE across Europe can best respond to the key current global technical challenges it faces, including: green energy, the environment and sustainability; communications and IT; health; and modern manufacturing systems (including robotics). The key outcome will be tested model curricula. Thirdly enhancing the understanding and transparency of module and programme governance, content, level of learner achievement and assessment for organisers and recipients of students who go on academic exchanges and industrial work placements or internships. The key outcome will be tested and verified models. Our project partners all have relevant expertise in aspects of the project and together form a qualified, balanced and committed network. The project will create a range of outcomes that will benefit educational institutions, programme designers and faulty in the EIE area and demonstrate their applicability and added value across Europe. Our dissemination plan ensures the outcomes of the project will reach the head of every known EIE providing academic department across Europe. Finally sustainability is assured through a commitment from the EAEEIE to maintain the outcomes beyond the life of the project.
