The main objective of BrainHack project is to organize the international artistic community experimenting with BNCI (Brain Neural Computer Interaction) technologies and link it to the BNCI scientific community. BrainHack network will grow using a series of hackathons, so called Brainhack Hackathons. While originally Consortium could not include TLU as a full partner, currently, due to the preparation of the contract amendment and active involvement of Dr. Väljamäe in the project (scientific advisor), the situation changed and from January 2017 TLU will be added to the project as a full partner. One of the roles of TLU in BrainHack will be to conduct additional events or hackathon in Tallinn, which was not originally budgeted in this EU project. This application provides necessary additional seed money for such activities. First, it will allow hosting an inception event, which will support further search for industrial sponsorship of BrainHack activities in 2017. Second, it will support art-science residencies. Importantly, DT already secured some funding from EV100 and Estonian presidency for organizing a braintheatre event in Brussels during Bozar Electronic Arts Festival (BEAF) in September 2017. Project is cofinanced by Republic of Estonia Government Office.
