Euroopa Sotsiaaluuringu 8. küsitlusvooru pilootuuring
Preparation for ESS Round 8 is now underway, with main stage fieldwork scheduled to take place between September and December 2016. We are planning to carry out a pilot survey in order to test new questions from two rotating modules, new and amended questions from the ESS core questionnaire as well as key background items. Most questions will be about public attitudes to climate change, energy security, and energy preferences, welfare and solidarity. The main aims of the pilot are:
- to test the question wording of questions to make sure they are comprehensible and correctly understood by respondents;
- to test the expected interrelationships between variables in the data;
- to identify suitable candidates for deletion; and
- to check the timing of new sections and individual questions.
The outcomes of the pilot survey will be used to enhance the quality of the final ESS Round 8 questionnaire that will be used Europe-wide.
