Eesmärk on aidata kaasa samaaegse inseneerinduse ja raalprojekteerimise tehnoloogiate arendamisele ja evitamisele Eesti ettevotetes. Planeeritud on välja töötada metoodilised alused ja programmvahendid tootearenduse meetodite rakendamiseks, kaasaegsete mehaaniliste toodete modelleerimiseks eesmärgiga vähendada nende turuletoomise aega, minimeerida omahinda ja tosta kvaliteeti. Katsetatakse erinevat turul olevat tarkvara ning demonstreeritakse praktiliste näidete varal erinevate raalprojekteerimissüsteemide integreerimisvoimalusi ja otstarbekust, ettevotte spetsiifiliste tootemudelite koostamist, toote simuleerimise ja optimeerimise küsimusi. Käsitletakse toodete perekonna raalintegneeritud tootearenduse metoodikat, toodete tunnuste modelleerimist ja nende alusel projekteerimist ning tootmise planeerimist, oskusteabe kogumist ja kasutamist
The aim of the project is to develop concurrent engineering and CIM technologies by developing and implementing software for integrated product and production process modeling systems in order to reduce the time from market requirements to the finished product minimizing the cost of manufacturing. The objective is on the one hand to develop tools which support the integration of various software modules-systems and to built up and maintain company-specific product model structures, while providing knowledge and information support functions as well as simulation modules for product evaluation and optimization.
