Loodavas teadus- ja õppekeskuse muuseumis oleks võimalik tutvuda Peeter Suure Merekindluse ja teiste Eesti allmaaehitiste ajalooga, maavaradega, nende kaevandamise tehnoloogiate ja võimaliku kasutamisega. Samuti kasutada mäendusliku ja geoloogilise teabe jagamiseks õpilastele, üliõpilastele ja turistidele.
Astangu Test Mine Museum would be an attraction site for tourists and a study laboratory for TUT Department of Mining and Geology Institute students. In Astangu Science and Test Mine Museum there would be opportunity to discover the Peter the Great’s sea fortress and learn about the history of other Estonian underground buildings. It would also offer an opportunity to see limestone layers, different mining technologies and various possibilities of using different natural resources. In addition it can be used for giving mining and geological information to students, scholars and tourists.
