Uuritakse keemiliste ühendite reaktsioonivõimet (kineetika, termodÜilaamika, reaktsioonimehhanismid, jne), omadusi (elektronstruktuur, katalüütiline- ja bioloogiline aktiivsus, happelis-aluselised omadused, füüsikalised omadused, spektroskoopilised omadused) ja nende sõltuvust reagentide struktuurist ja keskkonna omadustest, dosimeetriliste materjalide omadusi ja rakendusi, instrumentaalsete analüüsimeetodite uusi rakendusi, keemilise metroloogia ja informaatika probleeme, kõrgenergeetilisi molekule jne. Erilist tähelepanu pööratakse nii fundamentaalsest kui ka rakenduslikust aspektist olulistele uute superhappeliste ja superaluseliste katalüütiliste materjalide ja keemiliste jõuallikate (näiteks liitiumioon patareid, ülikõrgmahtuvusega kondensaatorid jne) komponentide disainile, efektiivsemate analüüsimeetodite kasutuselevõtmisele, rahvamajandusele olulise keemilise metroloogia probleemide lahendamisele ning uute dosimeetriliste materjalide väljatöötamisele.
The reactivity (kinetics, thermodynamics, reaction mechanisms, etc.) of chemical compounds, their properties (electronic structure, catalytic and biological activity, acidity and basicity, physical and spectroscopic properties, etc.) and their dependence on the structure of the reagents, and properties of the solvents, the properties and applications of the dosimetric materials, new applications of the instrumental methods of analysis, problems and applications of chemical metrology and informatics, structure and properties of energyrich molecules, etc. will be studied. The special atterition will be paid to the design of the new, highly effective superacid and or superbase based catalytic material s and components of novel chemicad power sources (e.g., lithium-ion batteries, electrochemical supercapacitors, fuel cerrs,-etc.), to the elaboration and introduction of more effective methods of analysis, for the solving of community-service oriented problems of chemical metrology and for the study, elaboration and use of novel dosimetric materials.
