Põhja- ja Baltimaade Filosoofiasümpoosion
The Nordic-Baltic Philosophy Symposia is a network project following the Baltic Philosophy Network’s Joint Master’s Degree Program ‘Practical Philosophy – Theories of Good Society’. The purpose of the network is to organize carefully targeted Master’s level intensive courses on topics in demand within the various relevant fields of philosophy at the partner universities. It provides students with state of the art knowledge and expertise within the fields in analytic and continental philosophy. The network’s goal is to furnish students with first-rate competence for finishing their Master’s studies and undertaking further doctoral studies. It also provides them with a competitive qualification in vocational professions related to philosophy, humanities and the social sciences. The network consists of six universities from the Nordic and Baltic states: Tallinn University (coordinator), University of Tartu, University of Helsinki, University of Iceland, University of Latvia and Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences.
